The Observer-Tree was a labour of love. Designed and built over a year, bringing with it dreams from my childhood and philosophical understanding from my adulthood.

I will say, the chairlift did go up and down as a consistent loop for pretty much three days over the 2016 Brickvention. As did the three submerged tracks (caterpillar tread laid with transparent blue pieces) moving behind the clear shrouds of the waterfall. Which means that the water wheel just had to work too, right?!
Yeah.. The gearing and drive train rig on the inside was an ever evolving thing.. Though not as much as the balancing act that was the modular sections of the treehouse, all while holding the tension of the chair lift.

2016 was my second year displaying at Brickvention and the first time I ever held a Best In Show trophy with my name on it. T’was an honour and a blast.
